President’s Message

Welcome to Temple Adath Yeshurun!

Please join us at services every Friday evening virtually, or at one of our many outstanding educational. community service, and social events. I promise that you will be impressed with the scholarship of our own Rabbi Beth Davidson, and that younger members will love her stories that begin with “Once upon a time, a long, long, long, long…….time ago”.  Also on Shabbat you will not want to miss the truly outstanding spiritual voice of Cantor Shira Nafshi, please check our calendar for her schedule.

TAY kinderlach are sure to love our annual Brotherhood-sponsored Purim and Chanukah parties, as well as helping build a Sukkah with members Bill and Ellen Herlicka and their family, and building their very own Mount Sinai sundaes with Rabbi Beth during Shavout.  Adults will not want to miss the perpetually pre-sold out Deli Night, our premier social event also sponsored by the Brotherhood.

On the first Friday of every month, families will not want to miss our family Shabbat service at 6 pm, followed by a delicious potluck dinner and sweets. It’s a terrific opportunity to meet and schmooze with old friends, and to meet and make new friends in the TAY community.

Please join and meet our leadership team us at our monthly Board of Directors’ meetings held on the third Thursday of the month at 7 P.M. We welcome the participation, feedback, and joys and concerns of our members and the greater Manchester Jewish community.

If you are new to the Manchester area and are considering joining a Jewish congregation, or perhaps you are a long-time resident just looking for a Jewish community to call home, please know that our leadership will do everything possible to ensure that you are able to enjoy a warm and welcoming Reform Jewish congregation.

Please email or call me if I can do anything to help you or your family with your Jewish journey in life at TAY.

B’Shalom

Jake Berry, President 2023-2024
