Welcome to Temple Adath Yeshurun!
Whether you have been part of TAY for decades, are just getting to know us, or haven’t been th
rough our doors in a while, I hope you’ll find a warm welcome here. Our Temple is a place where people come together to celebrate, learn, worship, connect, and support one another…and there are many ways to be part of our community.
This summer, TAY began an exciting new chapter with the arrival of our new spiritual leader, Cantor Harriet Dunkerley. Cantor Harriet has already brought tremendous warmth, energy, and enthusiasm to our community. She is deeply committed to getting to know the people who make TAY special and to building meaningful relationships across our congregation and the broader Jewish community.
As we look ahead, we want TAY to be a place where everyone feels they can find a way to connect that is meaningful to them. Maybe that’s joining us for Shabbat, taking part in Torah Study, attending a social or cultural event, volunteering, learning something new, or simply stopping by to say hello. Maybe it’s meeting Cantor Harriet for coffee or joining one of our Living Room Conversations…small, informal gatherings where members, prospective members, and Cantor Harriet come together for conversation, questions, laughter, and connection.
There is no single right way to be part of TAY. We invite you to try us out in whatever way feels right for you. Come to a service. Stay for a nosh and schmooze. Join us for a program. Meet someone new. Bring a friend. Ask a question. See what feels meaningful to you.
We are also excited about our new Terumah membership model, which reflects our belief that financial considerations should not be a barrier to belonging. Rather than fixed dues, members make a financial commitment that is meaningful and comfortable for their own circumstances. Our hope is that this approach allows more people to find a place in our community.
Most of all, I hope you’ll take the opportunity to get to know TAY. We are a community that is welcoming, inclusive, engaged, and connected, and we would love for you to be part of it.
